The tray does not come out completely. So sometines, CD/DVD insertion can be a little of a bother. CDs/DVDs take some to be to be recognized in Explorer v/s other drives but the stability is good once recognised. No loud noises from this drive compared to other drives I've seen. It's quite slient.
